Once upon a time, I received an email from a client asking if I would “reveal” to them the gender of their baby… I got so excited that I jumped right out of my chair and jumped around like a crazy person (preserving my goober status no doubt)! Oh Sam & Kyle how I adore you! This was thus far the most exciting thing I’ve been able to participate in as a photographer! Thank you for the opportunity!

Brooke + Cody’s Journey | Maternity
One of the great things about photographing a couples journey into parenthood is the amount of time I get to spend with each client. I get to know and share with them the subtle (& not so subtle) changes in all aspects of their relationship with both each other and the world. At Brooke & Cody’s second “journey session”, the changes were there… Brooke’s baby bump had grown significantly, while the addition of pink to her wardrobe announced to all “It’s a girl!” But perhaps the most pronounced (though not surprising) shift, was in Dad-to-be, Cody… Gone was the hesitancy present in session one , to be replaced by an awe and ease that quite frankly, had him glowing right along with Brooke. There were so many moments between the two that had me speechless…
Sam + Kyle’s Journey | Maternity
As far as I know, every photographer has a favorite subject. For me it’s maternity… there’s something about the nervous excitement that surrounds the Mommy & Daddy to be. Whether it’s their very first or their fifth, the energy is amazing. All new love & anticipation…. sigh. I created a package just for this wonderful time in parents-to-be’s lives. I call it The Journey.
Samantha & Kyle… bless them, some how kept their news from the majority of their family & friends. They wanted to do something special to announce Baby Shivers arrival. I am proud to be apart of their journey…
